Semiconductor Clean Room Manufacturing — Gas Metering, Monitoring and Measuring Components
Semiconductor manufacturing facilities employ a number of hazardous gases in their production processes. These gases can create a potentially hazardous situation for fires and explosions and an accidental release of these gases can lead to contamination, resulting in lost revenue and down-time. Correct measuring, monitoring and metering ensures the health and safety of employees, regulatory compliance and better profits.
From an outsider’s perspective the challenge of manufacturing semiconductors appears to be a herculean task. After all, manufacturers are building transistors that are 1/10,000th the width of a human hair by the trillions on a pizza-sized silicon wafer that has been polished to be flat to an atom’s thickness across its entire surface. They build these transistors by driving contaminating atoms into the silicon structure at precise locations in doses accurate to one part per million.

For over 60 years, Hardy Machine has been the trusted source for industries that require components that need to withstand the pressure of liquids and gases. That’s why the focus of our work for the semiconductor industry is creating parts for measuring, monitoring and metering the dispersion of gases for your assembly area to ensure you have a clean environment. We are experts in manufacturing components for gas detection and solvent vapor monitoring.
Take a Tour of Our State-of-the-Art Facility
Our Capabilities
Our assembly services can help you save time and money by reducing the number of parts and lowering shipping costs. We offer full assembly, sub-assembly and kit assembly as well as pressure testing to ensure a tight seal for liquid and gas parts. We can also provide fully finished parts. Our facility has a clean assembly area for medical and electronics parts and a separate area for soldering, gluing, brazing or any other processes that create waste.
From 5 – 10,000 pieces or more, our state-of-the-art multi-axis equipment allows your parts to come off the line complete and fully functioning at tolerances of +/- 0.0002. Our magazine bar feeders allow for lights-out production. We manufacture parts from 1/16” to 1-¼” diameter in plastic, brass, aluminum and stainless steel.
We can run 24×7 (unattended lights-out) with our top-of-the-line robotics and magazine bar loader equipment. With a +/- 0.0002 tolerance and a 1/4″ – 8” diameter our multi-axis machine offers tapping, turning, milling and drilling so that your plastic, brass, aluminum and stainless-steel parts come off complete.
Hardy Machine offers high-precision vertical and horizontal (6 and 8 pallet) milling machines and high-speed drilling and tapping. This equipment can run lights-out which provides our customers speed, repeatability, accuracy and cost savings.
With a 1/4″ – 2-5/8” bar capacity and 8 – 12 station turrets, we have the right fit for all of your turned parts.
You can’t gain a reputation for exceptional parts that hold up under high and low pressure liquid and gas without superior quality control. We can provide bubble drawings, full inspection reports, material certifications and any other documentation required.
You don’t stay in business for over 60 years without generations-deep expertise and a commitment to your customers.
We pride ourselves in the fact that every single member of our team sees themselves as an extension of our OEM customers’ logistics program. We know that many manufacturers offer the same equipment, tolerances and materials. What makes customers choose us and stay with us is our quality, expertise and service.
